Demarcus Love is an intern at Emerge Memphis, an incubator for startups and small businesses. He's taking a break from attending school at Christian Brothers University to work on his own start up idea and learn from the Emerge businesses.

In other news:

- The Memphis Union Mission is in need of Christmas care packages for their guests. They're pretty simple to make (here's a list of what's needed), and the Mission will take any quantity of them. Pack your items in a shoebox and drop them off at the Mission by Wednesday, Dec. 21 for distribution.

-  If you loved the sweet throwback jerseys that the Tigers wore for their first game, a local designer has made a T-shirt version. He's got a limited run for sale for $15 each, and they'd make a great present for your favorite Tiger fan.

- It's almost time for the Rozelle Artists' Guild's annual Project Sketchbook, a fun interactive art exhibit where people get handmade sketchbooks and fill them up however they please for inclusion in a gallery exhibit. If you'd like to get involved, you can find out how to get a sketchbook here or donate a little cash to help fund the creation of the books here.

- A brand new food truck hit the streets this week. The Revival Southern Food truck has been parked downtown for the past few days, serving up gourmet southern treats. Today, they're parked at Court and Second, but you can find info on their daily stops here.
